As with most things in life things change on a regular basis and you have to learn to adapt to these changes.
My punting/trading has moved in a different direction over the past month or so, I am putting all of my efforts into "risk free" Match Betting" and a bit of "Arbing".
My knowledge and experience of the betting exchanges and bookmakers has put me in a good position to have a real good go at this and so far the result have far exceeded my expectations.
There is nothing better than winning money when there is no risk of losing any!
It does take a considerable amount of time and effort to do it right but I am fortunate enough to have the time to do it.
Therefore I have decided to bring this blog to an end, it has been fun but at times it has felt like a bit of a chore and I give massive credit to the bloggers out there who have been running blogs for years, it does take a lot of dedication to keep them going.
Good luck to all of you and keep things profitable.
Well, I'm sorry to see you go!
ReplyDeleteI've always enjoyed reading your blog as it had a different slant to most out there.
When I first started out, I did the matched betting thing, and quickly made over £5,000. This is the same bank that I use to this very day, so I have never used any of my own income. Finding offers does eventually dry up however.
Good luck to you in the future.
Echo the above comments- along with cassini your the blog that encouraged me to look at "taking on" various favourites which i still do in various leagues after honing my selections after your advice which was very much apprecaited.

I also started out with matched betting and built up hundreds of pounds to get me started. Unfortunately, I blew all that pretty quickly! I tried to get back into it recently but as Eddie says, those offers do dry up, so it's very hard to maintain it as a source of income.
ReplyDeleteAlso, the bookies are wise to it these days and the amount of times you have to roll-over before cashing out now campared to a few years ago, makes it a royal pain in the arse to make money and mind-numbingly boring. Trading is the only way to go mate, stick at it and stick at the blogging too! Good luck.
